A Simple Guide To Trading

I will continually edit and expand on this post, but I want to start if off with the most important advice you will get when trading.

Always remember: Profits are made in the buying, not in the selling.

Now take that and let it sink in. What does that statement mean in the world of Geomon? Well, let's take a look at a discussion from over on the EsperCorp Forums. This topic here is a little old, but in it you see me make the statement that 6 months from now Virgo will be worth a ton. Right now you're probably sitting there thinking, "well, duh!" At the time though, people thought it was too common. Zodiacs still weren't really old yet and so people didn't take the appreciation in value over time very seriously. During Virgo's month it was almost impossible to trade one away as they were so common. Look at them now though, being one of the most valued Espers.

Unfortunately I didn't even take my own advice and only stocked up on 3 Virgos at the time. Other users, such as Agent Rank, used this time to acquire great Geomon wealth. Even at this point you will see me around the chat collecting high HP commons that nobody else wants. For example I have a 499 and a 495 Erawan. The 495 Erawan is so unwanted that I basically had to give it away. All it will take is one little change from the developers, or a new trinket to come out, and those Erawans might be worth a ton! By that time it's too late to start trading for them. You'll pay too much. You need to strike while the price is cheap, and look ahead.

I too think that people should hold on to common geomon. For example, kit was never rare until not to long ago. Why, just a month ago, some people were trading kit for kaldraks and mozzys and what not... I really wish i kept all my kits, they could have been worth something!!

Admit it--you made this thread at least in part to brag about your incredibly accurate Virgo prediction.

I will admit that seeing that prediction to give me the inspiration for the thread. As for bragging? I leave that for you to decide.

Virgo comes out in September, and all zodiacs mostly come out during full or new moons after 6 p.m.
